About This Blog

This blog is an experiment. I am building toward the long-term vision of managing multiple sites using a Headless CMS paired with a robust and affordable hosting system.

Since I'm a product manager by trade, I've included a brief roadmap below for fun. I occasionally write a blog post to give my test blog some personality, practice writing and web publishing, and play with AI content generation tools.

Keeping up with the latest small business and marketing technology trends is a priority for me as is creating a foundation for my own medium-term vacation rental business. If anything here inspires you to reach out, feel free to message me on LinkedIn. I'd love to hear from you.

Why I Like Headless CMSs

As a brand owner, I want to launch consistent brand content in a synchronized fashion. As a technology owner, I want to support seamless transitions between mediums, platforms, and make migrations as painless as possible. Editors don't want to have to copy and paste content or do manual updates in a rush if something is off. I envision having the ability to orchestrate and update messages across ads, web pages, apps, blogs, and even the billboard in Times Square all in one moment from a single point. As a marketer, you'd feel confident. As a builder, you'd be faster and more efficient.

CMS Contender #1: Contentful

Contentful is one of the better known headless CMSs. It also integrates directly with Wix so Contentful will be the "current-state" solution throughout my migration project.
